Adobe’s new research has AI use inside everyday documents up 371% in a year.

That’s the AI already switched on inside the contracts and reports your team opens every day. 55% of professionals now use it weekly. 48% say it’s giving them four or more hours back.

The same research flags the other half: rising concern about security and trust, and staff quietly reaching for unsanctioned tools to keep pace.

That second part is the one we keep running into. Legal, financial and HR documents are adopting AI fastest of any category – which are exactly the files you’d want someone to make a deliberate decision about. On most Adobe and Microsoft 365 fleets, that decision is being made by a default setting rather than by anyone in the business.
