Imagetext Minimum Supported Standards


This document defines the minimum supported software, operating systems, and hardware standards for devices managed or integrated by Imagetext. It establishes a consistent baseline to ensure interoperability, performance, and security across Apple and Windows environments supported by Imagetext 

 

Scope 

This standard applies to all client environments supported by Imagetext, including: 

macOS and iOS/iPadOS devices enrolled intoApple Business Manager and Jamf management.
Windows devices managed under Microsoft InTune
 

 

Operating System Standards 

 

Platform  Minimum Supported Version  Recommended Version  Notes 
iOS / iPadOS  17.x  Latest major version (18.x or later)  Must be within Apple’s current security update window. 
macOS  14 (Sonoma)  Latest release or latest – 2  Apple typically supports the three most recent versions. 
Windows  11 Pro Latest Windows 11 build or a version still in servicing support by Microsoft (25H2)  Only systems receiving Microsoft security updates are supported. 

 

 

Imagetext supports the latest OS version and the two most recent preceding major releases for each platform. Older versions may receive best-effort support but are considered end-of-life (EOL) and should be upgraded. .

  • Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox (latest versions) 
  • Safari (latest version on macOS/iOS) 

 

Communication & Collaboration 

  • Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack (latest versions)

Networking Requirements 

  • 802.11ac (dual-band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) Wi-Fi or better 
  • Gigabit Ethernet for desktop systems or connected docks 
  • Managed firewall or gateway with IDP and AMP enabled 

 

Support Lifecycle Policy 

  • Devices or OS versions no longer receiving vendor security updates are not supported under standard SLA.
  • Imagetext reviews minimum standards annually or when major OS or hardware changes occur.
  • Clients are responsible for maintaining devices at or above the minimum standards defined herein with the guidance from Imagetext. 

 

Compliance and Exceptions 

  • Exceptions require written approval from Imagetext technical management.
  • Best-effort support may be provided for legacy systems but without warranty of full functionality or security compliance.
  • Clients should plan hardware refresh cycles every 4–5 years to remain compliant.
