Being an Apple Authorised Service Provider means that we can assist you with any Apple warranty claims. If the issue is covered under warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law then the service will be free of charge.

When we fix your Apple iPad under warranty, we will only use genuine Apple Authorised service parts provided by Apple. On some occasions, Apple may find the issue(s) with your iPad are not able to be repaired and instead, they may replace your iPad. The replacement will be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability. We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare+ coverage, whichever is longer. This is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
If your iPad or the issue is not covered under warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law then we charge an assessment fee of $42.50 incl GST. This assessment fee covers an Apple Certified Technician isolating the issue and providing a quote for repair, replacement, or insurance purposes.
Whenever we perform a repair on your iPad we will only use genuine Apple Authorised service parts which will be backed by an Apple 90-day service warranty in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
Repairs are considered out of warranty when:
- Your iPad is over one year old
- Your iPad has an issue that’s not covered under warranty or consumer law, like accidental damage or damage caused by unauthorized modifications
We might be able to fix or replace your product for an out-of-warranty fee. If we replace your iPad, the replacement will be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability.
We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare+ coverage, whichever is longer. This is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
If you have an issue that is covered under an Apple Exchange and Repair Extension Program then we can service the product for you. Depending on the program you are requesting service for, it may be serviced free of charge or there might be a fee.

When you choose to have your iPad serviced with Imagetext, we will first inspect the product to verify if it has a hardware or software issue. If we find that your iPad has a hardware issue and it requires service we will ship it to the Apple Repair Centre for repair or replacement. The reason we do not service iPad in-store is that iPad repairs are quite complex and require special tools or machinery that Apple’s Repair Depot has.
If we have to send your Apple iPad to Apple’s Repair Depot for service it will take around 3-5 working days before we receive it back repaired or replaced.
If your Apple iPad issue(s) is not covered under warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law then the service cost will depend on the issue with your device. Follow these steps below to get your device ready for service. Completing these items will result in a quicker repair experience. If you need assistance we can also help you in-store*
- Back up your iOS device.
- Have your Apple ID password ready. For some repairs, you’ll need your Apple ID password to erase your device and turn off Find My iPad.**
- Bring your sales receipt (if possible), in case your service requires proof of purchase.
- Bring your device and any accessories that you need help with.
- Schedule a reservation if you’d like to spend a few minutes discussing your issue with a technician in-store when booking your device in, if not feel free to walk in for service.
*A service fee may be charged for additional technician time helping with backups and other software issues not covered by warranty.
**If you’re unable to turn to disable Activation Lock, we may not be able to service your device. This policy is in force to prevent unauthorized persons from servicing your device without your knowledge. If you don’t remember your Apple ID and Password, please go to iForgot or contact Apple for more options.
Reservations are not required however if you require a few minutes with a technician when you arrive, you can visit the Apple website to Schedule a reservation with us. If you are happy to just drop your device off and leave it with us then a technician will begin the assessment and update you as quickly as possible.
When you get your iPad back from service, simply insert your SIM into the iPad (if applicable) and power it up. If you created a backup before service you can restore this following these steps. If you did not have a backup, then simply follow the on-screen setup assistant.
